Emax

Lande Lab Uses Only The Finest Materials!

Ivoclar Vivident’s IPS e.max is one of the primary material systems available at Lande Lab. Preferred by top dentists, e.max is one of the best, most versatile non-metal materials on the market. IPS e.max is a biocompatible lithium disilicate glass-ceramic material that comes in ingots created with strength and durability in mind. Although we primarily use the pressing technique for our dental restorations, e.max is designed to work with both PRESS and CAD/CAM techniques. It provides superior esthetics with an exact fit.

IPS e.max Press offers the fit, form and function which is expected from pressed ceramics. This is why we use this technique for almost all of our e.max restorations. In addition, it offers improved flexural strength (400 MPa). With optimized esthetic properties creating all-ceramic restorations that offer true-to-nature results has never been so easy. When fabricated to full-contour, the monolithic structure is the most robust ceramic system tested to date. The opalescence, translucency and light diffusion properties of IPS e.max lithium disilicate were all designed to replicate natural tooth structure for beauty and undetectable restorations. When layered with a porcelain build-up e.max is second to none, the restorations are absolutely gorgeous and undetectable in the patient’s natural dentition! Layered e.max is the most esthetic all ceramic crown on the market!

Laminates Provide Strength and Beauty

For over 26 years our specialty at Lande Dental Lab has been cosmetic cases and laminates. All cosmetic cases start with a treatment plan wax-up, this gives the patient a chance to see what their new smile can look like. It also gives the doctor the chance to make any adjustments before we start fabricating the final restoration. Laminates can be made a few different ways either layered feldspathic porcelain, e.max layered, or full contour e.max. For strength purposes full contour e.max is the best option because there is no layering of porcelain, therefore no chipping. You can also do prep-less laminates with a full contour e.max Value, but this will not change the shade just the tooth form. For the best esthetics layered feldspathic porcelain or e.max layered are both great options with absolutely beautiful results, it just depends on the prep reduction and the stump shade for which material would work best.
